I fly home today! I'm so excited. Woke up with my nose semi cleared, minimal dripping and minimal drooling. I even squeezed my toothbrush between my teeth to brush the inside of my mouth...heavenly. I am so happy that my lips are looking more normal. Especially my top one, which is showing some definition. Up until now the space between my nose and lip has been totally flat, but now it's gotten it's "shape" back!
Amanda, I'm so glad things are going so well for you. You look fantastic and your lack of pain is amazing to me! I was hopped up on pain meds until week 4 or 5 I think. The worst is over, it only gets better from here!
ReplyDeleteHi Nichole!! Thanks so much. Yes, I know how lucky I am about not having significant pain. Very thankful to the gods...
ReplyDeleteI think it's amazing how fast you are recovering! I only hope my recovery goes as well. You look great! Safe travels!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen, Thanks so much. I didin't expect to be on any fast track of healing. My only strategy was to eat as much as I could after surgery. I even told my boyfriend to make me eat, no matter how much I protested. I'm also the only blogger I've come across who's vegan. Not sure if that has anything to do with my recovery, but it's worth mentioning. I'll be interested to see how your experience is since you are vegan too (do you have a blog?). That all being said, the biggest contributor may just be luck.
